Frequently Asked Questions

Q: I have purchased ThreatNuker and want to install it on my desktop *AND* laptop. How can I do this?
A: A single purchase of ThreatNuker provides you with a single license key that can be used to register ThreatNuker on a single computer. If you wish to install ThreatNuker on more than one computer simultaneously you must purchase a license for each computer. Please reply to this email if you would like to receive a discounted quote on multiple licenses.

Q: I cannot download the installation file, the installation file is corrupted, or otherwise does not work.
A: Please make sure you are using Internet Explorer 5.5 or higher, or AOL7 or higher. Also disable any download manager/accelerator applications as they are known to interfere with the script-based downloads we use.

Q: How much is ThreatNuker?
A: Current pricing and order details are listed on webpage here: http://www.threatnuker.com/order/clickbank/ Note there is a link at the bottom of the page to receive the instructions how to pay with a MONEY ORDER or personal CHECK.

Q: Will ThreatNuker work on a Mac? Linux?
A: ThreatNuker is currently compatible with Microsoft Windows 98/Me/NT4/2000/XP. There are no plans at this time to create a version compatible with the Mac, Linux, or any other non-Microsoft Operating System.

Q: Does ThreatNuker come with free upgrades?
A: Our current plan is to offer all ThreatNuker updates for *FREE* for one year from the purchase date. After one year you will keep full access to the existing database, but you will not be eligible for new database updates.

Q: Where's FireFox support?
A: The current production version does not support FireFox at this time. However, our development team is currently working to complete an update that does support FireFox. There is currently no estimated release date on this updated version.

Q: How do I know what I should immunize?
A: ThreatNuker does not specifically target any user data or other items that are "unsafe" to immunize. It lists website domains that are known to be used for promote or include adware, spyware, trojans, and other unwanted items. It is recommended you immunize all found items to ensure full protection.

Q: I've scanned but it's found some website domains I want to keep. How to I prevent it from immunizing these?
A: If you have specific website domains you do not wish to immunize you can manually add those domains to the ThreatNuker WhiteList by doing the following:

* Open ThreatNuker.
* Click Tools \ Options.
* Click the White List tab.
* Enter any domains you do NOT want immunized. The ideal format is *.domain-name.extension, such as *.ThreatNuker.com

Q: I cannot register my copy of ThreatNuker.
A: It is recommended that you copy-paste the key as opposed to manually typing it. NOTE: Enter the entire key including the dash.

Your registration of ThreatNuker will only be successful if ThreatNuker is allowed to communicate over the internet with our registration server. If you are running a software firewall or any other security/anti-virus application that can block applications from accessing the internet please set it to allow ThreatNuker to communicate over the internet. If you have done this but still receive a "firewall" related error message during registration you may need to temporarily disable your firewall/security/anti-virus and then re-enable it once registration has succeeded.

It may be easiest to simply disable/exit ALL applications in your system tray (by your clock), register, and then reboot your computer to re-enable all of your system tray applications. Due to the variety of firewall and privacy applications on the market we are unable to provide you with more specific directions.
